Pivot Onsite Innovations is now hiring an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse (RN) for our  on-site healthcare clinic located at McCook, Nebraska. This is your opportunity to step out of a traditional nurse setting and make your impact on employee health, wellness and safety! Desirable schedule: Monday - Thursday 7am - 12pm and Friday 7am - 11am!

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates healthcare for employees in the onsite clinic, overseeing the evaluation and case management of workplace injuries and compliance with medical surveillance programs. The RN relays information to employees and client key stakeholders regarding workplace safety and injury prevention, assuring compliance with health-related OSHA mandates. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Treats acute occupational injuries
  • Performs drug tests, hearing tests, pulmonary function tests, and fit tests
  • Responds to medical emergencies. Initiates and facilitates ongoing health and wellness screenings and wellness functions for employees
  • Manages cases of workman's compensation claims in conjunction with the employer representative and insurance carrier
  • Facilitates return-to-work and light-duty assignments for employees with work-related injuries
  • Maintains a current case log for workplace injuries outlining treatment plans for weekly case reviews
  • Assures compliance with OSHA and DOT programs, such as hearing conservation, blood-borne pathogen training, random drug screening, and follow-up programs
  • Maintains healthcare unit inventory of medications and supplies
  • Assists the employer representative with the administration of the Non-Occupational Disability Program
  • Exhibits a positive and proactive attitude towards managing the clinic, clinical functions, and patient flow
  • Other duties as assigned

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintains charts and employee records
  • Prepares and supervises the clinic/patient interaction of the Overseeing Physician as necessary
  • Assures compliance with OSHA and DOT programs such as hearing conservation, blood-borne pathogen training, random drug screening, and follow-up program

Required Education, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Valid state license
  • 3+ years of nursing experience
  • 2+ years of occupational health experience
  • On-site occupational health experience (Preferred)
  • Certified to perform DOT urine drug and alcohol screens (Preferred)
  • Certification in Occupational Hearing Conservationist (Preferred)
  • Certified in CPR/AED/First Aid
  • Ability to communicate with all levels across the organization effectively
  • Strong administrative and management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality
  • Experienced in developing health and wellness programs and performing ergonomic assessment
  • Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation case management and regulations
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA, ADA, FMLA, and OSHA regulations
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and production facility practices
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to generate reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and training courses
  • Position may require proof of COVID-19 vaccination
