Position Summary:

The Manager of Athletic Training Services (ATCMGR) will assist with the oversight of athletic trainer coverage including staffing, relationship building, and communication between Athletico and its athletic training clients. The Manager of Athletic Training Services will facilitate and be responsible for the oversight of special events and clubs (where applicable) as it relates to athletic training staff, affiliate contacts, physicians, management staff, and the Resource Center. The Manager of Athletic Training Services ensures our clients receive the utmost care and consideration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reports on status of the Athletic Training Program monthly to Resource Center AT Management Team, Vice President of Clinical Operations (VPCO), and Regional Director (RD) teams.
  • Supervision and Coaching of ATs per assigned region
  • Execution of yearly merit and incentive evaluations and meetings for assigned staff
  • Oversight of quarterly meetings for assigned staff
  • Development and execution of corrective action plans for ATs
  • Assist AT Management Team and Talent Acquisition Team in the recruitment of ATs, including but not limited to, on campus and virtual efforts
  • Assist VPCO and Regional Managers with reporting measures, coaching of Clinic Managers (CM), and other projects assigned
  • Communicate as needed, with FMs and Clinicians regarding ATs and their utilization/performance in the clinic per region along with prospective referral cases
  • Colloborate with Human Resources to ensure applicable payment terms for ATs (e.g. Full-Time ATs, 10-month ATs, part-time ATs, PRN ATs)
  • Communicate with IT staff regarding email programming/oversight.
  • Communicate as needed with Athletico legal counsel regarding items that pertain to ATs (e.g. HIPAA/FERPA, Dictation, Quality Assurance)
  • Communicate with Finance Department in maintenance of profit and loss statements per assigned region
  • Communicate with Accounting Department, Director of Athletic Training Services and VPCO to review/amend current/future affiliation/event contracts (e.g. content, financial structure, etc.) per region
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team regarding sponsorship elements and contract development as well as updating and execution of websites per region contracts
  • Assistance and Oversight with future AT department projects as assigned
  • Assistance with AT coverage as it is dictated by staff availability

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for oversight of regional high school/collegiate/professional contract development and staffing said assignments
  • As applicable, will assist VPCO and Director of Athletic Training Services on contract rate development for Managed Service Agreement (MSA) athletic training agreements
  • Communicate with athletic directors/affiliations quarterly to ensure quality of service and troubleshoot as necessary
  • Site visits throughout the year to assigned high school/collegiate/professional affiliations
  • Research and development for future regional affiliations
  • Increase exposure of Athletico with active presence at career fairs, open houses, business meetings, community outreach events, physician lectures/symposiums, Athletico Universities

Education and Experience:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree graduate from an Accredited CAATE Program 
  • BOC Certified
  • Current state athletic training license and open to obtaining necessary out-of-state licenses
  • Current manager of ATs with minimal 2 years of experience in current position preferred
  • Consistent track record with tasks and actionable items
  • Ability to provide transparent candid feedback both in a positive and constructive manner to achieve desirable results
  • Public speaking experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of assigned regions and management team/clinicians/ATs in place as it pertains to individual specialties
  • Advanced knowledge of region referral sources
  • Advanced knowledge of Athletico programs, affiliations, core values and therapy services within the assigned regions and also globally within Athletico

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel, and reach with hand and arms
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds 
  • Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding)

Salaried ranges listed are for full time (40 hour) employees. Additional pay such as incentive, GAP, overtime, and stipends are subject to the rules of each program and may not be available in all locations. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.

USD $70,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary/Wage

USD $75,000.00/Yr.
